Copyright information
Elizabeth Bloomfield has generously given us permission to extract relevant records from the WATERLOO REGIONAL HISTORY BIBLIOGRAPHY SYSTEM, a system Dr. Bloomfield created and for which she holds the copyright. These records have greatly enriched the GCO Bibliography. These entries are identified in the "Source" field of the GCO Bibliography records. To discover sources describing all aspects Waterloo Region (pre-1973), consult the work by Elizabeth Bloomfield: Waterloo County to 1972: an Annotated Bibliography of Regional History (with Linda Foster and Jane Forgay). Kitchener: Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation, 1993.
While GCO is in the public domain it contains some bibliographic citations derived from proprietary databases. Such material, however, may be used under the terms of "fair dealing" as defined in the copyright laws, which generally permit use for non-commercial educational purposes such as research, private study, criticism, review and news reporting. To help identify the original provenance, all relevant records have their source of data recorded.
