AB - A list of the names of Ontario hamlets, villages and towns that were in use at the time of the 1871 Census of Canada. Some 48 named central places are identified in Waterloo County in 1871, with 22 alternate place names. Figure 1 defines boundaries of the 1871 Census Districts and Census Sub- Districts of Waterloo and Wellington Counties and Figure 2 shows the locations of the named central places in the two counties.
