AB - A detailed comparison of the pronunciation of the Pennsylvania German dialect in Waterloo County with that of Pennsylvania. The authors conclude that the Waterloo dialect is homogeneous except for the Maryhill area, founded by Catholic Alsatians, and that Kitchener German was more influenced by English and possibly Standard German than other dialects of Pennsylvania German.
