AB - An account of the family tradition of cheesemaking and retailing continued by Herbert Bergey, youngest child of David and Louisa. Herbert made Farmers Cheese at his farm near New Hamburg from 1930 until 1941, but he and his family retailed cheese at markets at Galt, Guelph and Kitchener over the period from 1913 to 1963. He was also active in the New Dundee Literary and Debating Society as a young man, in the Zion Evangelical Church at New Hamburg, and as a trustee of Wilmot Tp, SS 11 (Cressman's).
