AB - The story of how the author's mother led her fatherless family first from the advancing Russian army in early 1945, and then by way of a Mennonite Central Committee refugee camp to Canada in late 1949. The family was helped to settle in Kitchener by members of the Mennonite Brethren Church, and Lina worked 17 years at the Kitchener- Waterloo Hospital and later for 12 years as a bridal consultant.
