TY - JOUR KW - Holocaust deniers KW - Anti-Semitism KW - Zundel Ernst AU - Sherri Aikenhead AB - Graphic artist Ernst Zundel, who was charged with "spreading false news" about the Holocaust, hailed his conviction a year ago as publicity for his cause. Today Zundel is singing a different tune. The forty-seven year old German immigrant had published a pamphlet entitled "Did Six Million Really Die?" which alleged that the genocide of Jews during World War II was a hoax. Now free on $10,000 bail while awaiting appeal of his fifteen-month sentence for disrupting racial harmony, Zundel has been barred from writing or speaking publicly about the Holocaust and faces possible deportation. He denies reports that he has been asked to join the Canadian Free Speech League and says he may give up his twenty-seven year campaign.
