AB - Describes the alternative private schooling curriculum of the Ontario Amish. Until the 1960's many Amish schools used publicly available curricula. With the advent of such modernizing elements as television, sex education, the teaching of evolution, and the drug culture, the Amish have since 1970 developed their own school materials strongly centered in language arts and based on simple moral and theological beliefs.
