AB - A biography of Percy Richard Hilborn (1886-1972) by his grandson, tracing his entrepreneurial rise and fall. Hilborn made his fortune with Canada Sand Papers Ltd and furniture factories but sold his businesses in the 1950s and 1960s, unable to adapt to the trend away from wooden furniture or to come to terms with the demands of the trade union movement. Hilborn was well known for his philanthropy and public service.
