In 1909 the paper merged with "Der Canadische Kolonist" when it was bought by Rittinger and Motz, owners of the "Berliner Journal". Microfilmed editions for 1865 to 1866 are available at the Kitchener Public Library. The Waterloo Historical Society holds a set of bound newspapers for 1882, 1884, 1888 and 1889, all the years being incomplete.
