AB - A history of a French Catholic family who settled near New Germany in 1829 and moved to Bruce County by 1866. A description of the early Catholic church in New Germany tells how Father Peter Schneider's move to St Agatha can be explained by a dispute over land ownership. Father Anton Waechter, son of Joseph and Mary Ann Schmidt, was a priest at Waterloo and New Hamburg. An index for this book was compiled in 1991 by Elizabeth Schmadl.
