Reaman; the society assisted in organizing the Ontario Genealogical Society in 1960. The name of the society as printed on the cover began as The Pennsylvania Folklore Society of Ontario, but between 1977 and 1979 changed to The Pennsylvania German Folklore Society of Ontario. The volumes contain information about the settlement of Pennsylvania German families in Ontario, particularly the York, Vineland and Waterloo areas. Not many articles are written explicitly about Mennonite faith, though the Mennonite background is implicit throughout the volumes. The two first volumes (1961 and 1967) contain collections of articles on miscellaneous topics, as in a journal, but later volumes are monographs on particular topics. Those volumes pertaining specifically to Waterloo County are given separate entries in the WRP database.
