AB - A fine volume of early maps, reproduced with explanatory text and annotations and including several showing the Waterloo County area. A 1792 plan of the Six Nations Indian lands is reproduced on page 84, William Chewett's 1813 map of "the located districts" of Upper Canada on pp.44-5, James Chewett's 1826 map of the province on pp.46- 7, and Baron de Rottenburg's 1850 "map of the principal communications in Canada West" on pp.157-9. Redrawn versions of the Waterloo County portions of these maps are also printed in Bloomfield's {Waterloo Township through two centuries}.
