AB - A working list of emigrant families from southern English counties (such as Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire) who were assisted to come to Upper Canada in the 1830s. Among those who settled in Waterloo Township were the Tilt and Cosens families, Thomas Adsett, Charles Moore, William and Elizabeth Wackford, James and William Rapson and their families, George Thair, Caroline and John Dearling, and George and Elizabeth Trussler.
