Following a general introduction, the report is organized by the seven post- 1972 municipalities, the townships of North Dumfries, Wilmot, Wellesley and Woolwich, and the cities of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo. Each section presents a synthesis of earlier studies and usefully reproduces many relevant maps. All known place names of localities are listed and briefly described and all have been indexed in the WRP database. Appendices list historic sites in each municipality with details of location, type of structure and past owner as well as about 160 designated heritage structures with addresses and dates of construction. The Tremaine map of 1861 and the Parsell maps of 1881 are important sources for this study.}, year = {1988}, number = {Report}, pages = {291 p. ill., bibl.+}, publisher = {Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Planning and Development Department}, address = {Waterloo}, }
