Pequegnat family members were very closely involved in school, church and public affairs and intermarried with various other Berlin families, notably those of the Benton Street Baptist Church. Edmond (1884-1963) was secretary of the Berlin Public School Board from 1911 to 1942. Marcel (1886-1963), a professional engineer, played a key role in the developing the waterworks and in the origins of the Grand Valley Conservation Authority. Eugene (1888- 1974) worked for Mutual Life from 1908 to 1974. Mathilde (1876-1924) married Fred Boehmer and Angeline (1879-1963) married Benjamin Schulte, who worked for Dominion Rubber for 25 years. Information is presented on about 700 family members and on family businesses including The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Company and the Berlin and Racycle Manufacturing Company. The book also contains descriptions and photographs of the clocks and several of the clocks' workings.
